When I look around a stadium, busy street, classroom or church full of people I
don’t only see faces. I see a bunch of people who are uniquely purposed. I see every single person has a story God wrote out for them.
I was talking to someone about how I went through a difficult time of comparing myself to others. I told them it was a dangerous thing I knew I needed to put an end to. That person said to me that there is no other person like another. I mean it’s always been physically obvious there is no other me or them but I let the words actual sink in. I thought about why that’s actually important. There is a reason why we are who we are. Who you are matters and who they are matters.
A crowd is not only a bunch of people in a setting, but a ton of individuals passing by who are made on purpose for a purpose. It’s my hope that more people start seeing that in themselves and in others without comparison.
Throughout the Bible God shares many stories of men and women who had individual calls on their lives. He made them for unique assignments.
What ultimately matters when it comes to living out your purpose is knowing it’s all about Jesus; to serve and honor him and to also love others.
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory.” -Romans 8:28-30
